Introduction
UT Dallas Marketplace is essentially an online mall with a variety of stores in it, and each store contains one or more products. Each store and product has a unique URL, which makes it easy to create links for users to easily reach either your store or a particular product in your store. For example, the IECG store has many products, including Breakfast Program Registration.

All requests go through UT Dallas Treasury / Financial Management Services
As of Spring 2021, FMS Treasury at UT Dallas is asking that all changes to Marketplace go directly through them. In the past, JSOM Web Services had made certain changes to descriptions, prices, etc. However, for accounting and audit reasons, all Marketplace updates now require a Marketplace Change Request form, found at Galaxy > Gemini > Forms > Marketplace and Treasury > Marketplace Change Request > Add a New Value
UT Dallas FMS
Marketplace is managed by UT Dallas Financial Management Services (FMS). They are responsible for all Marketplace requests, including the following:
- creating stores
- adding and updating users
- adding new products
- fixing user account problems
- updating existing products
- changing prices or scheduling price changes
- notification emails
- updating optional product image
- updating product options, description, modifiers
- adding promotional codes
Use the Marketplace Change Request to add or update users or add new products. FMS often takes 2-3 business days to complete this request. That form is found here:

Only use the Marketplace Change Request; do not use the Marketplace Application.

You are responsible for completing the required fields. Have your Cost Center and Revenue Account Code on hand.
Important Note About Submitting the Marketplace Change Request
After you fill in the required fields, you’ll click the “Save” button on the bottom then go to the top and click “Submit.” The “Submit” button only appears after you have clicked save.
