Have your supervisor/sponsor follow these steps:

- Go here: https://ecat.utdallas.edu
- Supervisor’s NetID and Password, then Login
- Select Access Requests (Existing Users) > Computer Access from the dropdown
- Now you’re at Step 1 (You’ll see your progress on the page as you go through their 5 steps). Enter the NetID of the person who needs JIRA access. Click Next.
- On Step 2, confirm that the person’s info is correct and that “Management (304000)” is the department. Click Next.
- On Step 3, select the appropriate Sponsor, check that the Usertype matches the classification of the user, and ensure that “Standard” is the Service Level. Click Next.
- On Step 4, in IT Resources, check the “JIRA” box and enter “SOMWEB” (also “SOMMKT” if you will be working at all with JSOM Marketing and “SOMCRM” if you will be working at all with Salesforce) into the field that appears below it. Click Next.
- On Step 5, review the information before submitting. The “Effective Update User Date” will autofill the current date, so there is no need to change it.
- Click Submit.
You should get an email a few days after submission that says the ticket has been complete for JIRA access.
